I'm Abdul Q. Alarhayem. I'm based in Texas, where I innovate in the field of vascular trauma.

Passionate about medical advancements from a young age, my journey into medicine was fueled by a profound desire to save lives. This calling led me to pursue an M.D. at Arabian Gulf University, Bahrain, where my fascination with vascular surgery and trauma care took root.

My residency in General Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center honed my skills and deepened my understanding of the challenges in trauma and emergency care. It was during this period that I realized the critical role of time in saving the lives of trauma patients.

My research, particularly regarding the “golden hour“ in trauma care, has been recognized globally, leading to significant changes in how emergency trauma care is administered. The drive to reduce mortality rates in vascular trauma patients has been the cornerstone of my work.

Currently, as a Vascular Surgery Fellow at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, I am at the forefront of developing innovative surgical techniques and diagnostic tools designed to revolutionize vascular trauma care. My contribution extends beyond the operating room into research that informs and advances global practices in trauma care.
